Scholarships
The Wilde Lake Class of 1998 alumni are pleased to award two $75 Application Fee scholarships to two deserving seniors in the class of 2010.
Skye Bennett
Skye is actively involved in a variety of fine arts activities at the lake and in the community. She is currently the lead critic for the Baltimore Cappies Theatre Critics. At the lake, she is a member of the Women’s Acapella Ensemble “Cadenza”, Madrigals Honor Choir, and the Wilde Lake Choir. She is currently serving as the Choir President. In her theatrical career at Wilde Lake she has been involved in numerous theatrical productions including: Beauty and the Beast, Peter Pan, The Crucible, Moby Dick The Musical, Pippin, Arsenic and Old Lace, and Cats. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Tri-M Music Honor Society and also serves as president of the Wilde Lake International Thespian Society. Skye will study vocal performance in her undergraduate years and hopes to continue her higher education by obtaining a master's degree in mathematics. She would like to work as a theoretical mathematician while still continuing her vocal and acting career.
Olayemisi Ogunshina
Olayemisi wants to major in Pre-Med, either Biology or Chemistry, for her Undergraduate Degree, in hopes of becoming an obstetrician. Her love for medicine stems from the corrupt medical system in Nigeria, her dad's homeland. Her ultimate goal is to be able to impact the Nigerian medical system with her findings and research using modern equipment. Olayemisi has played on the tennis team for the past three year as second singles, second doubles, and first doubles. She hopes to continue to play tennis in college. In addition to tennis, she is the Fundraising Chair in Student Government and participates in Class Council by helping promote events and participation in fundraisers for the senior prom.
