Living happily with my wife of over fifty years. We've car camped across the country for two to three months for almost every year since the late 70s until 2019. I continue to do photography and have amassed close to 100,000 photographs, most from our travels around the USA.

At home, I maintain two aquariums, love to cook, and still read science fiction.
I have no social media footprint at all but have kept contact with about a half dozen former students through email and visits across the country, though not as frequently as I would like.

I have very fond memories of the golden age of Wilde Lake; the open space years. Working closely one to one was very rewarding, and creativity, from both students and staff, was at its highest. Remember our "Shakespeare festivals"?

I was honored to work with devoted students of Tapestry Magazine, The Paw Print, and Red Cross blood drives. I remember the fun we had at our evening movie shows, many students attending in their pajamas.

Most of all, despite that I was a hard grader, I am grateful so many students extended me their respect and friendship.

I never imagined, as a youth, that I would spend my life as a teacher. Teaching was a lot harder than it appeared and preparing lessons, grading papers, writing reports until midnight seven days a week was often grueling. But in the classroom with all of you, I felt inspired to convey my passion for literature and all the human experiences it communicated.

And the wonder of it all is that being in the classroom taught me to be a better and more complete human being.
